Ford starts the Happy School initiative in India:

Ford starts the Happy School initiative in India:

In a bid to provide holistic education, Ford has recently started their Happy Schools Program. The Program started as a science fair which had Ford organised in Zolapur and Virochan villages near their Sanand Vehicle Assembly and Engine Plant in India.

More than 2,000 students took part in interactive science demonstrations, whilst their teachers received guidance, training and lesson tips. Around 3,300 village residents also visited these schools to encourage students and participate in the organisation of the events.

The Happy Schools program continues to help thousands of students, parents and teachers in areas surrounding Ford facilities in India. Currently, 10 schools near the Sanand facilities have successfully implemented the program.
